Spain's Pollen Seasons

Tree pollen follows several spring patterns in Spain. Alder pollen is measured from February through April, while birch pollen appears in March and April. Olive pollen is recorded in May and is the most common pollen type across the year.

Grass pollen has a shorter measured season than some tree pollen. In Spain, it occurs in May, June, and July. May is the busiest month for pollen overall, so grass season begins during the year’s busiest pollen month.

Weed pollen arrives at different times. Ragweed pollen is measured in August and September. Mugwort pollen follows in October and November. These later seasons come after the spring and summer periods for olive and grass pollen in Spain.
