Portocolom, Spain has two main pollen seasons. March to May pollen levels are high. Trees like olive, almond, and pine release pollen. This makes spring air feel thick.

Updated: 6/21/2026

April is usually the worst month. Pollen counts are very high then. Even on sunny days pollen stays in the air. People stay inside when counts are high.

Summer pollen levels drop. August and September see some pollen from crops. Wheat, corn, and rice fields release pollen. But levels are much lower than in spring.

October to November see some tree pollen again. But it's not as bad as spring. Pollen counts stay relatively low through winter. This is a relief for locals.
