Pollen count in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Pollen allergies affect many people in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. The island's unique climate and flora create high pollen counts throughout the year.

Las Palmas' pollen season starts in January with Cupressaceae and Plane trees releasing pollen. This is followed by Olive trees in February and March.

In April and May, Grasses and Parietaria release pollen, causing symptoms to peak. Pollen counts decrease in June and July, but resurge in August and September.

In October and November, pollen levels drop, but some allergenic plants continue to release pollen. People with pollen allergies should plan accordingly and take precautions outdoors during peak seasons.
