Pollen Count

Pollen count in Tenerife

Pollen allergies occur when people breathe in pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. In Tenerife, Spain, pollen seasons vary depending on the plant.

The Canarian pine tree pollinates from November to February, causing allergy issues during winter. Olive trees pollinate from May to June, affecting people in spring.

Grasses pollinate from May to July, peaking in June. Weeds like ragweed and goosefoot pollinate from July to September, causing summer allergies.

Pollen counts are usually highest on dry, windy days. Rainy days tend to have lower pollen counts. Staying indoors during peak pollen hours can help alleviate symptoms.
