Pollen Count

Pollen count in Vera

Pollen allergies occur when the body reacts to pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. Pollen is released into the air and can cause allergy symptoms.

In Vera, Spain, pollen seasons vary by plant. Olive trees pollinate from May to June, causing high pollen levels. Grasses pollinate from May to July, releasing large amounts of pollen.

Weeds like ragweed and pellitory pollinate from July to September, increasing allergy symptoms. Pine trees pollinate from February to April, but their pollen is less allergenic.

Pollen levels are highest on windy days and during peak pollen hours, usually between 5am and 10am. Avoiding outdoor activities during these times can reduce allergy symptoms.
