Pollen Count

Pollen count in Mojacar Playa

Mojacar Playa, Spain has two pollen seasons: spring and autumn. In spring, pollen from olive and pine trees causes allergies. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

Pine trees produce pollen from February to June. Olive trees produce pollen from May to July. Both trees release large amounts of pollen into the air.

During pollen season, stay indoors on windy days. Keep windows and doors closed. Use air conditioning to filter the air. Avoid outdoor activities.

Wear a mask when outdoors. Shower and change clothes after being outside. Wash your hands frequently. Pollen counts are highest in the morning and evening.
