Greece's Pollen Seasons

In Greece, tree pollen season typically starts in February and peaks in March-April. Olive trees, a common allergen, release pollen in May-June.

Grass pollen season usually begins in May and lasts until July, with peak levels in June. This affects many allergy sufferers.

Weed pollen, from plants like ragweed, appears in late summer and early autumn (August-October). Artemisia and Chenopodium are other common weed allergens.

Peak pollen times vary by region, but generally, areas with high olive tree cultivation, like Crete and Peloponnese, experience intense pollen periods. Urban areas also have significant pollen levels.
