In Metamorfosis, spring starts the first pollen season. It usually begins in March and lasts into May. Trees release much of this pollen. Olive, plane, and cypress trees are common in the area.

Late spring and early summer bring more pollen. This time often runs from May through June. Grasses release a lot of pollen then. Wild grasses and garden grasses can spread it through the air on warm, dry days.

Summer can still have pollen, but it is usually lower than in spring. From June to August, some weeds release pollen. Plants like nettle and mugwort can add to the pollen in hot places near roads and empty lots.

Autumn is the last main pollen time of the year. It often lasts from September to October. Weeds are the main source then. Mugwort and other late-season wild plants release pollen before the weather turns cooler.
