Pollen Count

Pollen count in Váï

Pollen allergies affect many people in Váï, Greece. Trees, grasses, and weeds release pollen into the air, causing symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

In Váï, pollen seasons start in February with cypress and olive trees releasing pollen. This is followed by grasses in May and weeds in August.

Pollen counts are highest during hot, dry, and windy days. Rainy days and temperatures below 10°C (50°F) reduce pollen counts.

To minimize symptoms, stay indoors during peak pollen hours, use an air purifier, and keep windows closed. Wear a mask when outdoors to filter out pollen.
