Sweden's Pollen Seasons
In Sweden, tree pollen starts with alder in March and continues through April. Birch follows in April and May. Birch is the most common pollen type across the year, and April is the busiest month overall.
After the trees, grass pollen becomes important in June and July. These months are the main grass pollen season in Sweden. Grass grows in many places, so its pollen can affect people with allergies each year.
Weed pollen comes later in summer. Mugwort releases pollen in July and August, while ragweed pollen is measured in September. This means the pollen season can continue after grass pollen has passed, with different weeds appearing in different months.
