Pollen Count

Pollen count in Malmo

Pollen allergies affect many people in Malmö, Sweden. They occur when the body reacts to pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

In Malmö, the pollen season starts in April with birch trees. In May, oak and hazel trees pollinate. Grasses pollinate in June, and weeds in July.

During these months, pollen counts are highest. People with allergies should stay indoors when pollen counts are high, especially on windy days. Keeping windows closed helps too.

Pollen counts decrease in August, and the season ends in September. People with allergies can then enjoy outdoor activities without too much discomfort.
