Pollen Count

Pollen count in Spain

Pollen allergies affect many people in Spain and Ireland. Symptoms include itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing. Trees, grasses, and weeds release pollen, causing allergic reactions.

In Spain, pollen season starts in January with olive and almond trees. Grasses and weeds follow in March and April. Northern regions have fewer allergenic plants, while southern areas have more.

In Ireland, pollen season begins in March with tree pollen. Grass pollen peaks in May and June. Weeds and nettles follow in July and August. Coastal areas have lower pollen counts than inland regions.

Pollen levels vary depending on weather and location. Rain and wind reduce pollen, while warm and sunny days increase it. Check local pollen counts to plan outdoor activities accordingly.
