Ireland's Pollen Seasons
In Ireland, tree pollen appears at different times. Alder releases pollen in March and April, while birch pollen comes in April. Olive pollen is measured in May and June. April is the busiest month for pollen overall.
Grass pollen is the most common type across the year in Ireland. Its season runs in June and July. This can make summer difficult for people with pollen allergies, even though other plants release pollen too.
Weeds add pollen later in the year. Mugwort releases pollen in July and August, followed by ragweed pollen in September. These changing seasons mean pollen is found across several months, not only during spring in Ireland.
