In Switzerland, tree pollen often starts with alder in February and March. Birch pollen follows in April, the busiest month for pollen overall. Olive pollen appears in May and June. These seasons can affect people with allergies.

Grass pollen is the most common type across the year in Switzerland. Its season runs through May, June, and July. This long stretch means grass pollen is part of the pollen calendar across several summer months.

Weed pollen comes later in the warm months. Mugwort releases pollen in July, August, and September. Ragweed pollen occurs in August and September. These plants extend the pollen calendar beyond spring and early summer.
