Lithuania's Pollen Seasons
In Lithuania, tree pollen season starts in March, with birch and alder pollen appearing first. Oak and beech pollen follow in April and May.
Grass pollen season begins in late May and lasts until July, with peak levels usually in June. This affects people with grass pollen allergies.
Weed pollen, from plants like mugwort and ragweed, appears in July and August. Ragweed pollen can cause strong allergic reactions in some people.
Peak pollen times vary, but generally, tree pollen peaks in April, grass in June, and weed pollen in August. Western Lithuania tends to have higher pollen counts than eastern regions.
