Cyprus's Pollen Seasons
In Cyprus, tree pollen season starts in February, with olive and cypress trees releasing pollen. Peak tree pollen occurs in March and April.
Grass pollen season begins in May and lasts until July, with peak pollen counts usually in June. This affects people allergic to grass pollen.
Weed pollen, from plants like ragweed, appears in late summer and autumn. Peak weed pollen occurs in August and September.
Peak pollen times vary by region, with coastal areas often experiencing lower pollen counts than inland areas. The Troodos Mountains have higher tree pollen counts.
