Pollen Count

Pollen count in Vila Real

Pollen allergies affect many people in Vila Real, Portugal. The main culprit is pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

Vila Real has two main pollen seasons. The first starts in February with tree pollen, mainly from oak and birch trees. This season lasts until May.

The second season begins in June with grass pollen. This is the worst time for allergy sufferers. Weeds like nettle and sorrel also release pollen in summer.

Pollen levels decrease in autumn, but some weeds still release pollen. By November, pollen levels are usually low. This is the best time for people with pollen allergies.
