In late winter and early spring, tree pollen starts first in Štrba, Slovakia. Hazelnut and alder often release pollen in February and March. Birch follows in April and can spread a lot of pollen in the air.

In spring, more trees and shrubs bloom. Oak, beech, and pine add pollen from April into May. Grass pollen then becomes important in late May and June. Meadows and fields around Štrba can carry much of this pollen.

In early summer, grass pollen is still common. Rye and other cereal plants may also release pollen in June and July. Warm days and windy weather can help the pollen move farther through the village and nearby hills.

In late summer and autumn, weed pollen appears. Mugwort is one of the main plants and usually releases pollen from July to September. Nettle and ragweed can also be found later in the season, especially in warm, dry weather.
