In Roman, Romania, spring pollen starts in late February and March. Trees are the first to release pollen. Birch, alder, hazel, and willow are common. Their pollen can move far in the wind. This season grows stronger as days get warmer.

In April and May, tree pollen can still be in the air. Oak, ash, beech, and plane trees often release more pollen then. Some pine trees also shed pollen. Spring is a busy time for plants. Flowers and new leaves begin to appear.

From May to July, grass pollen becomes very important. Grasses grow in fields, parks, and along roads. Ryegrass, timothy, and meadow grasses are common pollen sources. Warm weather and dry wind can spread their pollen widely. This is often the biggest summer pollen time.

In late summer and early fall, weed pollen is most common. Mugwort and ragweed can release a lot of pollen in August and September. Nettle and plantain may also add to the air. By October, pollen usually drops as the weather turns cooler.
