Pollen Count

Pollen count in Geiranger

Pollen allergies affect many people in Geiranger, Norway. Trees, grasses, and weeds release pollen into the air, causing allergy symptoms. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

In Geiranger, pollen season starts in April with birch tree pollen. May and June bring grass pollen, followed by weed pollen in July and August. August is usually the worst month.

Pollen counts are highest on warm, sunny days with little wind. Rainy days often have lower pollen counts. Pollen levels are usually highest in the morning.

To minimize symptoms, stay indoors on high-pollen days, use air conditioning, and shower after being outdoors. Wear sunglasses and a mask when outside to filter out pollen.
