In Denmark and Sweden, spring starts in March. Trees like oak, birch, and beech wake up from winter sleep. They release pollen into the air.

In April, trees like hazel and alder join in. They release even more pollen. This is the peak pollen season. Many trees are blooming at the same time.

May is usually a bit better. Fewer trees are releasing pollen. But grasses and weeds start to bloom. They release pollen too. June is similar to May. Pollen levels are lower, but still there.

In July and September, pollen levels are usually low. Fewer plants are blooming. Autumn is coming, and plants prepare for winter sleep.
