Pollen count in Trento

Pollen allergies affect many people in Trento, Italy. They occur when the body's immune system reacts to pollen from trees, grasses, and weeds.

Trento's pollen season starts in February with tree pollen from birch, hazelnut, and oak trees. This pollen is light and can travel long distances.

From May to July, grasses release their pollen, causing hay fever symptoms like itchy eyes, sneezing, and congestion. Weeds like nettle and sorrel produce pollen from July to September.

Trento's pollen levels are usually highest in the morning and on windy days. People with pollen allergies can take steps to avoid exposure, such as staying indoors during peak pollen hours.
