Pollen Count

Pollen count in San Ġwann

Pollen allergies occur when the body reacts to tiny particles in the air. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and congestion.

San Ġwann, Malta has two main pollen seasons. The first is from February to April, when trees like olive, birch, and cypress release pollen.

The second pollen season is from May to July, when grasses release their pollen. This is the most intense period, with high pollen counts in the air.

During peak pollen seasons, people with allergies can reduce symptoms by staying indoors, keeping windows closed, and using air purifiers to remove pollen from the air.
