In early spring, from March to April, trees start to release pollen in Pravets, Bulgaria. Birch, oak, alder, and hazel are common sources. The air can feel dusty on windy days. Many plants wake up and grow fast.

Updated: 8/12/2026

In late spring, from May to June, grass pollen becomes very strong. Meadow grass, ryegrass, and other wild grasses spread tiny pollen grains. Fields and roadsides can have a lot of it. Warm weather helps grasses grow and flower.

In summer, from June to August, pollen comes from weeds and some flowering plants. Mugwort, plantain, and nettle are common examples. Dry days and light winds can carry pollen far. Gardens, empty lots, and field edges often have these plants.

In early autumn, from September to October, weeds can still release pollen in Pravets. Mugwort may continue for a while, and some late flowers also bloom. Cooler air slowly lowers pollen levels. By late autumn, most plants have stopped flowering.
