Pollen Count

Pollen count in Mons

Pollen allergies are a common problem in Mons, Belgium. Trees, grasses, and weeds release pollen into the air, causing allergic reactions. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

Tree pollen is the first to appear, typically in late March and early April. Birch, oak, and hazel trees are the main culprits. Pollen counts are highest on warm, windy days.

Grass pollen appears in May and June, causing misery for many. Warm weather and sunshine make grasses produce more pollen. Pollen levels peak in the morning and evening.

Weed pollen is the last to appear, usually in July and August. Ragweed and nettle are common allergy triggers. Pollen counts often drop when it rains, providing temporary relief.
