In early spring, from late February to April, tree pollen starts in Chiajna. Hazel, alder, and willow are among the first. Birch then becomes strong in March and April. The air can carry many tiny grains from these trees.

In late spring and early summer, from May to June, grass pollen is common. Many grasses in fields, parks, and roadsides release it. Ryegrass and other wild grasses are important sources. Warm, dry days can spread the pollen farther.

In summer, from June to August, weed pollen can rise. Mugwort is one of the main plants. Plantain and nettle also release pollen in some places. These plants often grow near paths, empty lots, and edges of roads.

In late summer and early autumn, from August to October, weed pollen may stay in the air. Ragweed is the most well-known plant in this time, if it grows nearby. Its pollen can last until the first cool days of fall.
