Pollen Count

Pollen count in Bordeaux

Pollen allergies affect many people in Bordeaux, France. They occur when plants release pollen into the air, causing allergic reactions in sensitive individuals.

In Bordeaux, pollen seasons vary by plant type. Trees, such as oak and hazelnut, produce pollen from February to April. Grasses pollinate from May to July.

Weeds, like ragweed, release pollen from July to September. This is usually the worst time for allergy sufferers. High pollen counts often occur on warm, sunny days.

To minimize symptoms, stay indoors when pollen counts are high. Keep windows closed and use air conditioning. Avoid outdoor activities during peak pollen hours, usually between 5am and 10am.
