Pollen Count

Pollen count in Newcastle upon Tyne

Newcastle upon Tyne has high levels of pollen in the air during certain times of the year. This causes allergic reactions in some people.

Tree pollen is the first to appear, usually in late March and early April. It comes from trees like oak, birch, and hazel.

Grass pollen is next, in May and June. This is the most common allergy and can cause symptoms like sneezing and itchy eyes.

Weed pollen comes last, in July and August. It's produced by plants like nettles and docks. Pollen levels are usually highest on warm, sunny days.
