Pollen Count

Pollen count in Istanbul

Pollen allergies affect many people in Istanbul, Turkey. Trees, grasses, and weeds release pollen into the air, causing allergic reactions. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes.

Istanbul's pollen season starts in February with trees like oak, pine, and cypress. In March, grasses and weeds start to release their pollen. This is the peak pollen season.

In May and June, grasses and weeds continue to release pollen, but at a slower rate. The pollen season ends in July. During this period, pollen counts are highest on warm, sunny days.

Air pollution in Istanbul can make pollen allergies worse. Staying indoors, especially on peak pollen days, can help alleviate symptoms. Keeping windows closed and using air purifiers can also help.
