Pollen allergies affect many people in Cambridge, UK. Pollen is a fine powder produced by plants, trees, and grasses. It triggers allergic reactions in some individuals.

Tree pollen is the first to appear, typically in late March or early April. Oak, birch, and hazel trees are common allergenic species. Peak levels occur in mid-April.

Grass pollen is next, usually in May and June. This is often the worst time for people with pollen allergies. Warm, sunny days increase pollen counts.
