Ankara has two pollen seasons. The first one is in spring, from March to May. During this time, trees like oak and pine release pollen into the air.

Updated: 3/21/2026

The second pollen season is in summer, from June to August. This time, grasses and weeds release pollen. The pollen count is usually highest in July.

People with pollen allergies might feel uncomfortable during these times. They might get itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneeze a lot. They might want to stay indoors when pollen counts are high.

On high pollen days, it's a good idea to keep windows closed and use air conditioning. This can help keep pollen out of homes and cars.
