In early spring, from March to April, tree pollen often rises in Ahlat. Willow, poplar, oak, and birch release tiny pollen grains. These trees wake up after winter and send pollen into the air as the weather grows warmer.

Updated: 7/4/2026

In late spring, from April to June, grass pollen becomes common. Wild grasses and meadow grasses spread their pollen with the wind. This time of year can bring a lot of pollen because many grasses flower at once across fields and open land.

In summer, from June to August, weed pollen can be important. Plants like mugwort and other wild weeds release pollen in dry, warm weather. Their pollen often stays in the air on windy days and can spread across roadsides, farms, and empty lots.

In early autumn, from September to October, some weed pollen may still appear. A few late-flowering plants keep releasing pollen before the cold returns. By late autumn and winter, from November to February, pollen levels are usually much lower in Ahlat.
